New Year Around the World

The 2012 year is coming to its end and another HAPPY NEW YEAR again! Here I wish you all the best in the coming year and hope you single guys sooner find your beautiful Asian wife with the help of great Asian dating tips on this blog. OK, today I like to share what new year looks like in other countries. From food to various cultural practices, one thing is a certainty: No matter where or how we live, the one constant in all our lives is that of a new year, of a time blossoming out into spiritual and physical rebirth. We are the same yet we have refreshed ourselves.

One of the best known symbols of the new year in the United States is the New Year’s baby, a tradition brought to early America by the ancient Greeks (c. 600 BC) with a side trip though Germany. Early Christians denounced the use of a baby as an act of paganism but since the concept of the baby as a symbol of rebirth was so popular with others, Christians were convinced to add their approval for the baby (in the body of the infant Jesus). Of course, it took many centuries to encompass the thought of a cute baby, complete with a top hat and diaper imprinted with the date of the incoming New Year. Happy New Year in NYC

Off on the other side of the world, residents of Scotland celebrate New Year with Hogmany. Some villages practice the tradition of setting barrels of tar on fire and rolling them through the streets.Symbolically, the old year is burned up and the new one allowed to enter. Like the Japanese, Scots believe luck, good or bad, is determined by the first person entering your domicile, preferably a dark-haired man bearing a gift. This determination of luck is known as first-footing. The Scottish song Auld Lang Syne, is sung at midnight on New Year’s Eve, a custom repeated throughout the world.New Year in Scotland

In Russia, children can visit the New Year Tree at the Kremlin Palace of Congresses. This huge fir tree shimmers with an untold number of colored lights. The children can also attend a fairy tale play and to highlight the day, Grandfather Frost and his helper the Snow Maiden distribute gifts. Swedes celebrate the New Year by attending church services in the morning, followed by a big, joyous family dinner.Russian New Year

In West Bengal, in northern India, people celebrate the New Year by wearing flowers, particularly those in pink, red, purple,or white. Women like to wear yellow, the color of Spring. In Karala, in southern India, again flowers and bright colors play an important part. Children are given food, flowers, and small gifts. Orange flags are flown in central India. And finally, in Gujarat in western India, the New Year’s celebration happens at the end of October and is celebrated with Diwali, another Indian festival. Small oil lights are lit on rooftops.New year in India

New Year in Vietnam is called Tet Nguyen Dan or merely Tet. It lasts from January 21st to February 19th. Vietnamese tenet believes there is a god residing in each home and at New Year, this god travels to heaven where he analyzes each person’s behavior over the last year. It was once believed this god rode to heaven on the back of a carp and now, a live carp is bought and then let go in a river or a pond. The Vietnamese women and men also believe the first person to enter their house during New Year will determine the fortunes of the household, whether they be good or bad.Little Vietnamese Girl enjoys herself in Tet Nguyen Dan

How to be happy after break-up

How to Be Happy After Breakup

“Oh, I can’t live without her. She’s my everything.” Most of us have said that and believed we could be with the girl forever! So it really sucks when we have to confront the breakup situations. It’s very hard ordeal. Most of the times both parties have a difficult time after the breakup occurs. And finding happiness, while quite difficult, can be obtained through the healing process. Whether you are the one who initiated the split , or otherwise, breaking up with someone you love or once loved , takes a lot out of you.Its like a big piece of who you have become, is just jerked out of your soul. And that will be painful , no matter what the circumstances. How to be happy after break-up

Many people will say that filling the void is what will lead to happiness. OK, that definitely makes sense. But what about that ever important time right after the breakup? The void will be replaced over time, but its quite hard to just “fill” it willingly. So how do we find happiness, when we can hardly find a reason to get out of bed?

Quite honestly, just getting out of bed has a lot to do with finding happiness after the breakup. Continuing with our daily life is the first step in finding happiness when we lose someone very dear to us. Not just continuing, but doing it in a manner in which we build strength. I remember my first divorce. I had married Jessica because she was my high-school sweetheart. And ,even though somewhere deep inside, I knew that she wasn’t the “one”, I thought that we were supposed to be married. I wanted so badly to be the high school sweethearts that lasted forever. So when we made the decision 2 years after tying the knot, I was devastated. Even though I always had the feeling that we didn’t really click in a spiritual way. But I soon realized that I had to keep striving for the goals I had in life. And if you haven’t had a chance to create your goals, DO IT!

Sticking to our goals gives us strength. When you feel like your goals are important, that makes you feel important. You are your goals. So keep this in mind. Its what you will build off of after your breakup.

When keep your sights set high, it will lead you to the happiness. Why? How? Easy. When a person can overcome great barriers and obstacles, they feel stronger. Things in life don’t seem as impossible like they once did. Breakups seem almost like the end of the world. Maybe you cant get over them by will power alone. But when you make you and your life a priority and you know that your goals matter, you will slowly start to feel like a whole new person.online dating

You actually start to feel like the breakup was OK. The strength that we feel after clearing life’s obstacles gives us happiness. Even if the happiness is fleeting at first. It will build. Soon your happiness will turn into a daily love for yourself and for the people around you. Like your friends and family. I hope you can get out of bed tomorrow with a new sense of purpose. I hope that you have a desire to reach your goals and to put your life way up high.

Sadness does not last forever. Let go and try to look at the bright side of life. The one more compatible and perfect for you might be waiting for you on the next corner.
